Hey!
I don't mind questions at all; they're the best way to get answers!

I've never attended college, and flunked all my art classes in high
school. So I don't know much about the college approach (though I
think it might be a bit overrated).

The book I've been using is called "Atlas of Human Anatomy for the
Artist", and it's by Stephen Rogers Peck. The book is softcover,
about an inch or so thick and sells for about $17.95. The book's
ISBN number is: 0-19-503095-8.

The book covers skeletal construction, muscles, different genders,
ages and races, expressions, you name it. A very thorough and
realistic book to use for reference. I also used to go to a park and
sketch the horses there, because horses are excellent models for
muscle tone and skeletal make-up. Live figure sketching is a good
exercise too.

  Hope this helps!
