Hey there!
  The convention story you are referring to was in issue 3 of "Genus
Spotlight on Skunkworks". There were 3 issues so far, and a fourth
one is in the works now. Issues one and two are sold out, but
Mailbox Books <www.mailboxbooks.com> may be carrying them again in
the very near future. I have a box of them to ship out to Mailbox
upon receiving payment for some items sold in the past.
  And if, by some chance, you're not able to get ahold of them, don't
worry! Once the pages for the fourth issue are done, the first three
books will be added to the fourth one, and presented as a graphic
novel. Cool, huh?
