Y'know, the same thing happened to me. A friend of mine was
heavily into furry art and most of my friends knew it but didn't pay
mind to it. I liked furry artwork and told them about it, which went
over well enough. Unfortunately, he decided to show them a
picture of a canine girl with a corn cob stuck in her privates. ^_^;
They quickly dismissed the whole genre on that one, and I just
acted as if I was turned off by it.

That's the problem most face when it comes to this kind of
artwork. Anything with humans is certainly accepted (to a
degree) but freely-displaying furry artwork really depends on how
open minded both you are to doing it, and your friends are to
seeing it.

I'm still real glad that Jim got so much for his artwork. After all
the hours of effort, dedication & patience he puts into much of it,
he deserves what he got.
