Hmm...you WOULD have had a World Record-Cat if ya had it
earlier..this guy was there before you:
A cat owner in Canada is claiming a new world record with his kitty's
26 toes.
Nabu the Siamese cross has seven toes on each back paw and six each
on the front.
Twinkle-Toes the current record holder has 'only' 25 toes.
Jeff Lutz, Nabu's owner, is contacting Guinness World Records to get
Nabu's record verified. Guinness told Ananova, Nabu is a potential
world record moggy.
Mr Lutz, from St James, said, "Everybody thinks it's pretty strange
looking. He looks like a snowshoe rabbit.
"He's just like any other cat, except for this. He climbs as per
normal but if he takes a poke at you, he'll draw blood."
Mr Lutz himself is allergic to cats but his wife and their two
children insisted they had to have Nabu after a friend's pet had
kittens two years ago.
An average cat has 18 toes, five on each hind feet and four each in
the front.
Mr Lutz has wrote to Guinness submitting Nabu's record feat.
"I always knew one of us would have our 15 minutes of fame," Mr Lutz
told the Winnipeg Sun. "I just didn't think it would be the cat."
