Yeah, I'm self-taught. I think art colleges tend to be rather over-
rated. I decided many years ago that I wasn't going to attend a
college (due to the ridiculous cost, for one thing). I had
originally approached both Disney and WB back in 1993 or 1994, but I
wouldn't work there now if someone offered me a million bucks. I
like drawing what I draw, and I'm gonna keep drawing it.

Practice, man. I average 30-80 hours a week drawing.
Unfortunately, I draw incredibly slow, which accounts for the amount
of time needed on the subject. I also studied anatomy, both human
and animal, as well as vehicles, architecture, and landscapes.
There's nothing worse than seeing a cool character drawn with a
shitty looking car and a pathetic background. So I try to cover all
the bases.
