What can I say here? I'll just be blunt, alright? I don't want to rain on
anyone, I don't want to piss anyone off, and I don't want to scare anyone
away. However, when something happens that I feel the need to put a damper
on, I think it's blasted frustrating that I can not ask anyone to tone it
down without them getting horribly hurt and offended. Dammit, this is my
job, and I'm going to do it. I just wish you could be a little more
understanding of that fact, and stop acting like I've made an example out of
you. I did not say you weren't welcome to post anymore (in fact, I think I
rather went out of my way to stress the opposite, considering what happened
the last time I put the walls up in the playpen), and I did not want or ask
you to leave. It's not in my nature to make enemies on purpose, but I can't
very well help it if you overreact like this.
There, I've said that. Now putting the ogre mask aside...
I would have gotten hold of you in private and hashed this out if I'd known
about it, but my life has been pretty hectic lately, and I didn't notice. I
would be quite sorry if you left the group, as you're generally a good
contributor. I can't remember what the original problem was, but you can be
sure that I never stomp the foot down unless I have a good reason. It's up
to you, pretty much. I haven't blackballed you for anything, and if you've
got a problem with me, well, there's no reason that should keep you from
posting anyway, as long as the problem isn't directly interfering with the
group.
Blah, that's enough. I'm a tad frustrated at home, and I think it's coming
out here. Not good.
To sum it up: I don't have a problem unless it screws up the group, and I'm
not holding a grudge. I hope you're not either, and I'm sorry you felt like
you'd been alienated, and I hope this is over.

There's my obligatory response. I'm not pissed, I'm just too tired to be
eloquent...

Well now that being off-topic has come up...
I'm back. In case anyone hasn't noticed (I figure at least Shad would
since we were under the same kind of censorship, but of course Shad
didn't take it nearly as seriously as I did) I haven't posted a THING
on the board for the last several days, ever since Thy again put his
foot down about off-topic remarks being a "big distraction and waste
of valuable space" when Shad and I were last discussing something
about Archie cartoons and somewhat on-topic things like Furry-smut.
I got the impression that I was definitely not welcome to post
anymore (not the first time you scared someone away either, check
back in September's messages I believe) but unlike the last guy, I
didn't make Wile E. Coyote-style signs instead of speaking, I just
shut up and didn't post no matter how badly I wanted to.
Thy, I'm sure you're a pretty cool guy and all, but sometimes you do
come off as a post-Nazi ("NO POST FOR YOU!") as you said yourself.
However, I have that "reputation" of being the freak that (willingly)
reads through all of the posts on the board, so I have (and of course
I say willingly because Jim and Thy do it more out of obligation than
for bragging rights).

Most likely. I would recommend Traveller's Cheques or getting the
money changed first, of course.

Good point. If any of the stories I've heard about the customs
service are true, you guys must be wishing you had some good mail
privacy laws like the U.S. (no comment on the anthrax hysteria
here...)
