I think what's bothering Jace is the fact that people seem to feel the
need to state that they're not into bondage. It's just a little like
someone suddenly saying "What's with all this gay stuff lately? I mean,
I don't mind homosexuals, it's just not my thing." It's not the same
thing, just a comparison.
I suppose it bothers him (and me, just a tiny bit) that people feel the
need to state they're not into it, as if they had to make very sure
everyone knew, as if being into bondage were something to be ashamed of.
This group has stuff that's NOT bondage all the time. It's the norm
around here. A few people brought bondage up, and there was some fanart
posted with it.
*sigh* Furry fandom is surprisingly intolerant, I've found. But a rant
isn't what I'm after. If bondage doesn't do it for you, that's fine. Why
feel the need to tell everyone that it doesn't do it for you? If you
don't like it, you don't have to look at the pics or engage in any of
the practices. There's no need to proclaim it to everyone.
