Hell, man, my dad and I don't even talk! We lived in the same
house for 17 months (and 27 years before that), and weeks would go by
where he wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. I've disowned him,
though, and have a really thorough letter which I'll be sending to
him, regarding his treatment of his ex-wife (my mom) and his two
sons. I made it clear that I do not want to see him again.
