I'm lucky. My folks are good people who've done a lot for me over the
decades. I keep running into folks in fandom who have been 'blessed' with
parents whose capabilities wouldn't qualify them for running a gas pump. I
can't imagine what it's like having a father like yours. At least you're
out of the mess.
-Also glad to see you and Des getting some time together again and that
she's getting away from the credit card biz. Have you two considered
sharing the apartment? It'd help cut down on your expenses and you could
both work through your debts much faster. Not to mention the fringe
benefits, which may use up all the savings in condoms, lube and rubber
novelties...
-Looking forward to all your upcoming projects. The CD sounds like a
perfect way to get a bit of extra mileage out of all your older art as well
as show off some of your more obscure things that you might not have wanted
to make prints with.
-Yes, the Yahell Chat was a disaster last time, since it was unable to
handle more than a few folks before creating multiple channels. There was
a poll on the matter and the method most folks liked was IRC [Internet
Relay Chat]. If you or anyone else is unfamiliar with how to use this, I
can give a few quick lessons. (Folks who want to get a jump on matters can
go over to one of the TuCows websites and grab an IRC client like mIRC,
which is easy enough to use.)
