Hmmm... that puts an interesting thought in mind. Since there's so many
characters, and you obviously don't have time to fill in the details for each
and every one of them, that does leave the door open to "help" from other
sources? Equate it to.. oh, say the "Dragonlance" series in AD&D, where the
ideas for characters and things that happen are already mapped out, but the
individual quirks and habits are filled out by people who are interesting in
taking up that persona for a while. I think Supermegatopia does the same thing
ina way, except they have a MUCK setup where people can play new characters in
that genre, or (I think) apply for existing characters and take up their
personas and "fill them out" so to speak. The creater (Jim, of course) keeps
copyright or whatever on the characters, and fans help put some more input into
something they care about.
Could be a good way to give more backstory to those characters you just don't
have time for.
Just a thought.
