There's a simple way, (ok, not that simple) , and really, not that
high-tech, but it would be expensive...
First, use a type of styling gel to flatten the fur down along the body,
arms, legs, etc. (And if so desired, away from the various fleshy bits
that you want to show through.)
Second, cover everything else with plastic, like a large "bag" covering
the tail from base to tip, and a helmet.
Third, dip, or bursh on a type of liquidized latex. Brushing's easier
(and funner.) When the latex had dried, add additional coats until it's at
the desired thickness.
To get off, use a chemical soultion that breaks it down.
Hell, you could even have the suit cover everything BUT the fleshy bits.
