If the poll had only asked who would donate, it would have been more
acceptable. I think you should let Des decide what kind of 'what if' situations
to make involving her art. That is not your domain.
Furthermore, the support is unnecessary. I'm sure she would appreciate
knowing that her fans would pay to have her site back up. But she HAS NO
CONTROL OVER IT. Her site being down is not, strictly speaking, _her_
problem. And I don't know how many people have said it over and over and
over, but you're just not getting it.
As for not trying to flame, your post came across as being huffy and rude.
Does 'keep your snout out of my affairs' sound familiar?
And you wouldn't be banned for supporting her, however much you might like
to think of yourself as a martyr for the cause. You would be banned for
behaving like an immature jerk.
