No, because generally people either discover it for themselves or they
heard about it on every other furry list in existence. I assume that
anyone here that is interested in Furnation is probably on one of those
other lists, and since the Skunkworks site isn't hosted there, saw no
point in bringing it up on the Skunkworks list.
I'm also typically not vocal on the list, preferring to tease Jim about
Des a bit whenever he answers a flurry of mail, or when something
specific comes up. I enjoy a lot of the art that comes through, and
sometimes choose to comment on it, sometimes not.
I try not to fool myself into thinking that I'm some important member of
the list just because I post here, and I try not to pester Jim too much
when he does start answering email because it's rare to see an artist
that actually comments regularly on his mailing list. (Whether I
actually succeed in not pestering Jim, I dunno, as many of my replies to
his mails are done around the area of 5am where my judgement is not sound.)
However, even though I am quiet here, I do try to read the mail that's
not just to the effect of "The skunk sisters should yiff me!", which has
included at least a dozen messages about exactly when and how Desiree
Lee's site would come back up, and another half dozen at least about why
she wouldn't be sending out her art either in hard copy or on CDs, not
even for "donations", despite your cute little "story", which, from what
I got from skimming over it, was barely coherent even as the pandering
excuse to continue plying your case that it was, time warp where you
were just starting your work week before an email and had apparently
ended said work week by the time you finished reading it included.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'll slink back to the lurker gallery,
which I wouldn't have left if your assinine "Look! I just found this
out, so no one could possibly know! I'm so cool!" post hadn't pushed my
"be a smartass" genes beyond their tolerance.
Forgive the somewhat toasty message, if you will, the rest of the list.
Sometimes one just gets tired of ranting in private.
