Looks good, but I do have a few comments.

First, I'd like to compliment you on your good work on getting the
character details down. Looks like you got her facial markings and fur
pretty close to the standard that Jim has established.

I'd also like to compliment you on putting your name, in text, on the
picture. So simple, takes just a moment to do with most paint tools -
and so many artists completely forget about it. Some [like Jim] do
include their name neatly written on the source work, but so many
don't, or sign only with an illegible signature. *disappointed sigh*
How am I going to be able to seek out more of their work, or compliment
them on it, if I can't tell who did it?

Lastly, however, I have to give you a little advice on the wording on
the text that you added. Instead of what you've placed on there, may I
suggest the following:

Created and copyright by: Martin Gerlach (C)2002 [include the actual
copyright symbol if you can, not just the (C)]
Character of Lori copyright Jim M. Hardiman

This will give you better legal protection, and look better, too. As
it is, it looks like perhaps you're making copies of a complete work
that is copyrighted to Jim. Whereas, what you're actually doing is
using one of his characters for an original work of your own.

Hope this helps,
Falbert
