If ANYONE messes with your bike, it is justifiable
homicide!

Agree, but I HATE polishing. My Virago is a big
enough hassle. I prefer my ZZR (sold as a ZX in the
USA) spaceship. It all really comes down to how it
makes you feel. Like friends really. They might be
practical and ugly as sin, or absolute stunners and
useless, but if they may you feel good, then they are
your friends. Same goes for the "beloved two wheels".
Screamin' space ship or thumpin' cruiser, the final
aim is all about how it makes you feel.

Had a similar experience with a crapped out 1978 Mazda
323. Friend and I, huge load of camping gear, ~800kg
of car with 4 cyclinder, 1.4L engine. New soft tail
Harley tries to drag us. ~400kg of bike, with big
bloke and his girl friend with at least 1.3L engine.
So he should have had a big advantage, half the weight
and all.
Both of us revving up at the lights. Lights changed,
Harley pulls a few feet ahead, then is just reeled in
and left "in the dust" as we both pull onto the
highway out of town. Nice try, but stick with the
"look and feel" thing. Hyundais drag that car off, so
it isn't because the car was fast neither!

Harley's new engine is nice, but pity it wasn't
introduced 10 years ago when modern twin cam and EFI
took off...
There are many forums dedicated to biking, so I'll put
the cable tie back on my muzzle and let this drop.
Whoops, wrong word! Drop in biking means "to
crash"... I think I just let it go...
Scrapper, Black Dragon, Biker, bordering on Bikie.
