Well written post Tryll, good to hear from you.
Darn it! Not being in the USA means that it isn't
just an insterstate thing, it is an international
thing to go to a confurence! Dragons, furries, I'm
just missing out!!! AAAaarrrgh! Few of us in that
boat too, hey Shad? I'd be up around the A$1600 mark
just to attend, let alone the damage the budget would
suffer after purchasing artwork.
Was pretty restrained with purchases last I was in the
USA, only about A$400 worth of tools and stuff that I
have trouble getting in Oz, though India I managed to
got through A$2000 in comissioned artwork! Custom
spec pure silk 8' x 4' rugs depicting tigers are
beautiful, though really burn up the cash! Maybe I
could arrange a nice black and white striped rug with
three sisters depticted on it? Maybe even another
tiger-striped skunk crosses one's mind.... Maybe I
should get the rangehood fan that exploded in the
kitchen fixed first... Darn house costs! I know how
you feel Jim!
I know I've been quoting $A, that is worth half the
$US, but it still FEELS like that much to me, since I
am paid in $A!
Scrapper, Black Dragon, who dreams of a limitless
budget...
