As usual, I'm no authority, but from my collection of
messages that I've kept with useful snippets from The
Master, here is an extract that may partially answer
your question...

As previously posted: by JHM
I use 24 lb acid-free laser printer paper, Staedtler
pigment liner technical pens, Prismacolor markers,
Prismacolor thick-lead pencils, Prismacolor thin-lead
pencils, Prang colored pencils, Testors enamel
hobby paints, Prismacolor pastels, and lots and lots
of elbow grease! Most pictures take at least 15-20
hours to color, minimum, and they're only 8.5 X 11
inches!

This I think would be good for learners (that's really
everyone, though the current progress level varies!)
to see how they can be progressing. One I'd like to
see too. May also pay to do an item under Other in
the files, answering the questions about your medium
and favourite references, such as the anatomy book
that keeps getting mentioned.

Nicely drawn. Keep up the good work.

Scrapper, Black Dragon, who always appreciates group
contributions.
