All the frames are hand-drawn on a light table. Des drew the key
frames, and I did the in-between frames. She inked them all, except
for the close-up sequence, which is 100% all mine. The background is
one image, hand-drawn, and the character images are overlayed onto
the background. Each frame is then flattened and saved. (This way,
it can be either a GIF or SWF format file). Unlike the Skunkworks
cartoon, which is actually being assembled in Flash, the Cassie
animation has each frame made in Photoshop, tested in Animation Shop,
then, when everything looks good, it'll be brought into Flash, where
the sound files can be added.
