Morphy's "skin" (all that he is actually) is one continuous exoskeleton, the
variable length molecular chains of polymer microscopically hardening or
softening as needed to generate movement-- on a macro scale (looking at the
whole panther) it appears to be 'normal' movement even though he's hollow.
The very low-pressure air inside provides support (bones for you solid
being) to keep him from collapsing much like a inflatible doll 'stands'
without collapsing.

Morphy chemically breaks down and assimilates latex directly into himself
(like you solids do with food in the intestines), he only swallows the latex
