Hi, I haven't posted to this club before, and this is
quite Off Topic, so I'll be brief :) I'm one of the admins
running the german ex-yiffnet IRC server.
What you wrote is the truth, but not the whole truth. The main
reason why the network is no longer called "yiffnet" is, that
Elkay not only took down his IRC server, he also took down
the name server, and since he's the owner of the domain "yiff.net",
we could no longer use the name.
It was not Lymril's "decree". It was something all the leftover
admins agreed on. And Lymril is NOT running an IRC server.
We now return to our regular scheduled programme :)
(Like, where do I get the money to buy all of James' latest
'folios?)
yours,
Cheetah
