He will have his sight. I don't say this as someone who can see into
the future or anything like that. But that is the message he needs to
recieve. If he doesn't believe that he will be able to continue doing
his art, then he won't be able to. The mind has unimaginable power,
including the ability to heal the body, and effect it in ways that we
have only begun to understand. But in order for it to work, he HAS to
believe it, heart and soul. Remove the doubt. I'm seeing what one of
my Pagan lists can help me do (I'm Celtic-Wiccan). Prayer works well
too, mantras, whatever you choose. But he must believe that he will
see again. If he believes, that GREATLY increases his chances of
seeing. And Des, the more you panic, the worse off he is, because he
feeds off of that. You are his main source of support. Don't let him
know your fear, only your confidence. I know you have it within you.

We really do care. I'm flate broke, and none of my friends share my
particular tastes in art, but you'd better believe that if I had
anything to my name, I'd donate it in a heartbeat.
