         I'll throw in some good news, for those who can hang on to deal with
things later:

         There is a Canadian study on a diabetes treatment that is now in
human trials: Early results are pointing to a ~90% cure.


         I know about it because a coworker of my mom's is in the trials,
one of her biggest problems is drawing the tiny insulin injections that are
all she now needs.
