We weren't there (though we were all here in cyber
space for you), but it was hard enough from this end.
I was absolutely morose for the first part of the
weekend till I checked the inbox and saw your mail
while I was visiting friends Saturday night. I am
sure I managed to depress at least a dozen people in
that time! I haven't felt that awful since a friend
(a good woman, who dedicated her life to helping
others) undeservedly passed away two years ago after a
totally unexpected, fatal stroke.

A physio friend of mine who has worked with amputees
(including those from diabetes) suggested this was
probably the case. We've been telling you to take
better care of yourself, get 8 hours sleep, etc, but
NOOOO! Not Jim! ;-) We know you burn really bright,
but maybe you can shine just a little dimmer and
prolong the burn time? I know we'd all like that!

I have also read all the posts (yes, everyone who has
posted, I've read them), looks like I was wrong about
only being 14 of us writing to the group. ;-) Good
to see us all pulling together for a worthy cause!

It is your dedication to the art and your fans that
attracts us. Your energy, visions and skills shine a
light that attracts us. ~1400 group members can't be
entirely wrong (can we?).

Think of it as a turning point in your life. You've
now got the motivation! Des will help you and we'll
all do what we can from our remote reaches of this
little planet. But if you don't change, I'm gonna
have to come over there and spoon feed you pureed
vegetables and chicken soup till you're well, and that
isn't something you want! ;-)
> Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and support.
If it helped you, fantastic, but for many of us, it is
all we can do at our end. At least we don't feel
totally helpless that way!

Good to hear, but I think it may be a bit late for the
not freaking out bit...

This has inspired a pic - will post when I can muster
a few hours together and put pencil to paper... I'm
doing a short story piece about what happens when the
skunk sisters first discover about Jim's 'little
dilemma' too.

We're attracted to furry-dom because we can express
our emotions, to be who and what we want and no one
thinks it strange. Love is a word that attracts huge
emotional value, and makes it hard to say. Just make
sure you tell Desiree. Regularly! Although blokes
will never admit it (unless they get REALLY drunk),
you love your mates; your true friends, who you'd
fight and die for. As an Australian, it is part of
who I am, and I'd bet there are others out there who
feel the same way too.
Your mate, Scrapper, Black Dragon, who'll be putting
in a bit of financial muscle when he gets his Paypal
sorted out. :-)
