Stickers would probably be a happy thing for many
furs, as you can stick them onto many more things that
your vehicle. Folders, windows (right in the middle
of the front door of the house, close up of Lori's
ass...), refridgerators, eskies (bottle coolers to
Americans), heck any hard flat surface!
I will do some research some time next week (time
permitting) and see what prices I find for getting
t-shirts printed and costs from sticker cutting. I
have contacts for the stickers (hence why my UAV is
getting placarded...) so I'll see what they could do
for us. From there it is up to Jim what can be
developed. Postage would be a draw back, but since
the A$ is still about US$0.52, makes it somewhat
cheaper for those furs in the USA... May even work
out about the same for freight costs... I'll let you
all know!
I agree that doing the spray job yourself requires
equipment and experience. For a small job, it may be
cheaper to get a pro to do the work, but if you are
like me and considering doing the bonnet, cabin roof
and canopy roof (and maybe the doors later)then
spending the bit over half grand and owning the gear
(as you can do other things with it too) is going to
be a good value.
From what I've seen talking to my teacher (who does
airbrush art and signs for a living), to get a 'small'
(11"x8") character of relatively low complexity (eg,
one of the skunk sisters) you are looking around the
$300 or so mark... Getting Desiree or someone with
more detail and colour would push over the $400 mark.
This is about $200 less than buying a cheap airbrush
setup, but then you need the skill...

Only to be passed by a dragon riding a Kawasaki 1100,
two gears to go, travelling on the rear tyre as the
front paws the air... ;-)
Scrapper, Black Dragon, who's all for it... (huh?)
