Xydexx? He's still working on the "inflatible clydesdale project", the
life-size version now that the half-scale prototype was a success.
I remember a fellow named Ferreton who used to make life-size plushies of
furs. They'd cost $500 and up. But he's dropped from the fandom back in the
90's and no one's tried to take up the "torch" and continue the huge custom
plush designs.
