Okay, before you get too excited, I happen to be an
engineer, a biker and full of trivial numbers, so the
specs, allowing turbine jet propulsion and appropriate
fairing, are possible. Not very likely, but still
do-able. Allow me to illustrate...

Same as aircraft. Low power radar or pedo tube
(airspeed)

Top fuel dragsters develop around 1000hp and they use
tyres, but no reference was made about whether it was
using the tyre to drive. Gas turbine (there were cars
that used them, French mostly) is often better used
like a jet engine.

Anyone who is into drags would know the feeling well!
Hence reference of slowing to a more comfortable
speed... The ZX9R I ride still has two gears to go at
120mph. (Tops out around 175mph.)

NASCAR drivers are fequently exposed to up to 5g while
cornering. Under brakes a GP race bike exerts around
7g, and that is nearly all on the front tyre, so can
be done.

And sci-fi being justified by some fool (me) who knows
his physics...

Cool! *throws calculator and engineering text book
over shoulder, sits back in couch to watch*
Smile, at least you weren't riding it! :-)
Scrapper, Black Dragon, who tries to stay in the realm
of vaguely credible....
