If bernal  did nothing that fact could be used againt him later on if he tried to inforce his copyrights.   this incident could have been pointed to as him placing his artworks in the public domain threw inaction. 

Atleast thats how I see it.

sure it could have been handled better and with more tact,  but still Bernal is an artist,  and these pictures are his to do with as he see's fit,  it's him who has put the time effort and heart into theses peaces and to see some one mangle one of those works thats just got to tear at an artist
