I also would have to agree here, the brightness in this piece works for me, it has been said, adds "flare" and brings the art alive for me. While I say that bright colors don't work in every piece, in this one, I think it brings its off very well.

I disagree, the coloring looks great, What you call "overdone" I
would call adding "flare" and "eletric" to what you say is "to
bright". The coloring job added some real energy to it and has helped
bring more life to the peice.

Even though the coloring could have followed the route of dropping a
shadow on Char, I belive the artist did the right thing by not doing
so. Reason being is that since much of the piece is playing off of
Char and Lynn's expression (if not the whole peice) then it is
important to make sure that the expression stands out, and adding a
shadow on to Char would have diluted her face and made it less
noticable. (and Char is far to pretty and dangerous to do that to.)
Okay that's enough out of me back to coloring page three of Up's and
Downs and lurking.
