Yes, I had AVG pop up to warn me before I could even *look* at the e-
mail. However if you have the latest update for Outlook Express you
can set it to "Do not open suspicious e-mails" and "Prompt before
saving any attachments" in order to avoid this problem. Worked like a
charm for me.

I don't trust Norton AV anymore. I once had a friend that had *7*
viruses on his system going completely undetected by Norton's, but as
soon as he installed AVG Anti-Virus it caught them all.
Not to mention Norton AV can be very intrusive even on its default
settings, crashing install programs, sucking up resources, and
overall being a pain. But hey, AVG's free!
(And no I'm not a paid consultant for Grisoft.)
