Not to shatter any illusions... but that Hello Kitty "vibrator" is actually a massager that certain websites and eBay-ers like to advertise as a vibrator to pique interest. I'm sure the ploy works. Now, that's not to say that the item in question can't be USED as a sex toy, but when sellers advertise it as such, I find it just... sleazy. And I'm not talking about the kind of sleaze I LIKE. I mean the dishonest kind. Anyway, do a search on "Hello Kitty massager" on eBay and you'll get several listings for it. My limited knowledge of Japanese is just enough to make out the word "massage" at the bottom of the package... (BTW can anyone make out that last kanji character after the word "massage"? I'm not having any luck).
Oh, and I'll cop to liking "Hamtaro", too. I can't help it. It appeals to the side of me that never grew up and became horribly twisted. It's the same reason why I actually can appreciate "Dragon Tales" at face level. Mind you, that's not to say I don't enjoy seeing a nice picture of Cassie getting her pooper stuffed. After all, there's also the side of me that DID become horribly twisted.
One last thing and then I'll shut up. This is for Jim and Des. Jim, I haven't posted any messages since your eye trouble began, but it goes without saying that my best wishes are with you (sorry that sounds so formal, like something you write on the inside of a card when you suddenly realize that you don't really know the person you're giving it to very well... I just can't think of a better way to say it). And Des, I'm grateful that you're there to help him through this. And get through it you will.
