Hey there!
Well, the answer is yes and no. I've had four separate treatments
thus far (two per eye), but apparently, the treatments performed on
the left eye were not sufficient to stop the bleeding. I have to
return to the doctor's tomorrow morning for additional surgery,
incorporating an injection into the eye, as well as the use of a more
powerful laser. The injection is used to numb the entire eye, as the
laser will be more intense than the previous treatments, and I likely
wouldn't be able to withstand the pain for long without the eye being
rendered numb. So obviously, tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun,
and I'll probably repeat it as many times as possible (rather than
taking a vacation to somewhere like Disney or the Bahamas). That
last sentence was pure sarcasm, by the way. ;)
After the surgery, it will take a couple of months for the debris
in the left eye to be filtered out by my system. Until then, my
vision is going to be very blurry. I can probably whip up a sample
of what it looks like in Photoshop later today (as long as the storms
stay away).
Thanks for asking, man.
