  Nope. Snakes are snakes are snakes. Some species never evolved
(cows are a prime example, as well as most hooved animals such as
deer, elk, moose, bison, etcetera). Likewise, some species only have
a small percentage of evolved forms (dogs, for example. Birds, too).
  I should probably make a list of which species exist in that
reality as evolved beings...
