Actually, in the humorous comics I draw featuring the girls, there
are far more humans than furries. This helps with the gag.
Sometimes the himans think the furries are people wearing costumes,
and other times they pay them no attention. It's just for the sake
of the joke.
On the other hand, as in the "Fitting Punishment" story I've been
writing, my character is a porcupine, not a human (bet you all
thought otherwise, huh?). The story is taking place in
the "Caterwaul" reality, which is where the girls would actually
exist.
There are no humans in that reality. They were hunted to
extinction many many years ago.
