On a slightly more serious suggestion type of note, most good audio editing
software (GoldWave, etc), and some sound cards (Soundblaster Live, Audigy,
Etc.) will do pitch shifting, which could give you a bit of an edge in
getting that "female" type voice. At least pitch-wise. unfortunately,
there are more differences between the male and female voices than just
pitch. You can raise the pitch forever, and a male voice will just turn
into a male chipmunk, or male smurf, or male munchkin from Oz, but still be
obviously male.
So, the main question is: How much effort do you want to put into this? Do
you want the girls sounding like male chipmunks, or do you want to work on
a tidbit of voice training and get information on how to get a more
female-like voice? If you feel like just making the girls sound like male
chipmunks, then grab GoldWave or use a Sound Blaster Live or Audigy to do a
pitch shift. If you want to get them sounding a bit better, and get some
skill at voice acting, even if you have to then modify the resulting sound
somewhat pitchwise, then contact me by return mail directly, not through
the group, and I'll throw information and such at you.
