Here's the most recent scoop: I returned to the doctor on 7/15,
and he discovered that the previous laser treatments in the left eye
didn't do squat. So I rescheduled, and returned on the 19th. After
getting another fun needle in the friggin' eye (no, I'm not too
bitter), I went in to the laser facility to get 1500 laser bursts in
the left eye. This laser was WAY more powerful than the last one,
because I could feel the heat from the little bastard against the
left side of my nose while the doc played asteroids with my blood
vessels.
Had one hell of a pain in that eye the next two days. The doc says
that I probably won't have to get anymore needles in the eye
(something I'm onlt too happy to hear), but he says additional
treatment will be necessary for both eyes. I guess the hard part is
that after one bout of surgery, you have to wait a month or so to
make sure everything is healing up. It sucks. I can't draw anything
more than a rough draft, and I've had to block off the left eye in
order to finish up the last several pages for the Skunkworks Graphic
Novel due out in September...
