I recently joined another mailing list and this was posted by one of
the members who is wondering if their is any interest.
Not sure if this helps but I thought I'd pass it along.

It wouldn't be moving to "individual mailing lists", this new
system has
all the features of Yahoo Groups including one-time registration.
Furthermore, it will simplify life for users since for each group
they join
they can setup different options (like whether or not they recieve
new posts
in e-mail or just view them online), and they will only need to sign-
up with
the system once, regardless of how many groups they wish to join.
Trust me,
I'm not making difficulty to use the system a priority... But I think
it'd be
useful to have one single source for all the furry groups, you can't
even
FIND most of the furry-themed groups on Yahoo if you don't already
know about
them. Plus none of the groups would have to worry about getting shut-
down
without warning just because they're not following Yahoo's insanely
restrictive policy to the "T"... Dunno, so far I've gotten a lotta
positive
feedback. I'm going to do the project anyway, those who move over to
it will,
those who won't won't... *shrug* It'll be convenient for setting up
new
groups, anyway.
