There is a lot of poser material out there. . . it's usually pretty
easy to spot. It's acceptable if you need a fast generic humanoid
model, but it doesn't quite fit the bill when it comes to an anthro
character.
My original idea was to put a furry model into Unreal Tournament
2003, since I have yet to see one. I started playing around with a
spline cage and a whole lot of tweaking later, I arrived at my
current model. That's when I ran across Des's group ( before it got
whacked ). On seeing the Des avatar, the first thought in my head
was " I wonder how that would translate into a 3D model? "
I have collected all of the current source material available on the
character, ( Both Jim's and Des's versions ) and added a blink
animation to one of them. ( Sits on my desktop ). Since I recently
purchased Softimage XSI, my first modeling attempt in that package is
probably going to be the Des character.
The moment the profile sketches are available, I'll begin work on it.
