It may be closer than anyone currently thinks... perhaps not for
adults, but if your child could have a tail, would you give them one?
If you've listened to the news at all in the last week, you've probably
heard about the publication of a draft copy of the mouse genome.
Several articles have reported:
"A full 99 percent of a mouse’s genes have counterparts
in humans, including genes that cause mice to have tails."
It may well be possible to cause in-vitro activation, or perhaps even
later in life, of these genes. Who knows, one might be able to have a
tail, after all.
