Usually I'd let this slide, but since there's been two replies...
ASB was, from the beginning, not trying to be anything near to a true
slice-of-life comic. Chris and Lance admitted that themselves I believe from
the opening inner cover. It was however a good story about how a life of hard
choices can be, and how people try and deal with those choices. Of course
there's lots of promiscuity because, sadly, the book likely wouldn't have
gotten as wide a reception as it did if it hadn't. But at base, the story and
the characters have strong messages. If you think it's just some "stroke
fiction", then it would seem you either didn't read it, or you missed the
point.
But, as they say, that's just my opinion.
Either way, don't trash on something people worked hard on and put a lot of
feelings into. If you want something more "True-to-life" in that vein, I
understand the comic "Circles" might fill the void a little better.
