It is ALWAYS helpful to have another critique any work done. I'll be
the first to admit, my work is not exact, but it is currently in
the ' rough out ' stages. I will go back and make the tweaks
necessary once I get the body parts roughed out. To give you an idea
of where the model stands versus the sketch, check out the following
link. The torso probably looked short considering the camera angle I
used when I snapped the shot. I am trying to keep the character on
model as much as possible :)
Methinks her head may look small since we are used to seeing her hair
on top of it. I can't do her hair until I get the shape of the head
correct though. All it takes is time. . . . :)

Her legs and arms do not line up with the sketch due to the
difficulty it would create when I animate her later on. I have to
create the skeletal system and the IK / FK chains can be a bit quirky
unless the starting points are set correctly.
