A general rule for replying to group email. If what you
are sending does not add anything to the current
conversation, then don't send it. If someone has already
said it, or it is not constructive, or just shows that you
read the email, then save the inbox space and don't send.
A simple rule; if your answer is less than two sentences or
two lines, then you probably don't need to sent it.
Seriously, you don't need to reply to EVERY email that
comes in that you didn't send!
Ever wondered why downloading that file you want is slow?
Because millions of people send email with little pieces of
useless crap attached, useless forwarding histories, huge
signatures and it all adds up to slow the download time,
consume storage space and waste time wading through a huge
'reply all' post to find the one line "That was good!" at
the bottom. This is to what Ravenwood refers. JMH, last I
heard, was still using a relatively slow modem (and slow
PC). With his current financial status, is unlikely to be
forking for cable any time soon.
Scrapper, Black Dragon, hoping for stimulating and
intellectual group interaction...
