Well, the #1 thing to do with a problem with flash files - tried
updating it to the latest version? I've never heard of browser
incompatibilities before... ^O.o^
Taking a look through the publishing options in FlashMX, I've just
noticed there's a setting for 'detect flash 6' that isn't on by default
that would probably normally do the check for what version you have. If
anything, I'd say that the version people are using is the most likely
culprit.
And to save stuffing round looking for where to go for the update, it's
found at

n=ShockwaveFlash which may well be worth a try.
