Well, someone would have to be either pretty stupid or high to use their own
name as a password when spam-bombing someone like this, so someone's suggestion
that it's someone trying to implicate someone else seems to have some clout
there. Of course, that could be just what they WANT you to think. Sorry,
conspiracy part of my brain kicking in there. =)
Another thing you can check yourself, as others have done, is to comb through
the headers of any of the confirmation mails you received. Those usually have
info on the IP of the original poster from whatever web form was used, just
like Yahoo's Group Message poster does.
But you have to admit, this is sort of a clever way to get around things. Too
bad this is the way e-mail groups work. =\
