Another thing to remember is that a lot of folks look at Anthros as
metaphors... In other words, the characters look like critters on
the page, but that's a visual convenience, because they're all
*actually* human... Just drawn as animals to make it interesting...
Putting actual humans into the picture will blow this view out of the
water, and spoil it for anyone who thinks that way...

Also, for those who like a variety of species, showing humans can
cause the real world to intrude, and folks start asking questions
like "Why are there all these different species, when the real world
has only one?"... Leaving humans mostly out avoids these issues...
JMH uses a human/anthro mix in the comedy stories, but that's putting
the Skunk Sisters and Desiree in a Human world, which focuses
attention on them, as the unique elements... In that case it works,
because that's where the attention belongs, but in situations where
you don't want to focus in on the furries exclusively, it wouldn't
work as well...
