There's a reason we don't mix furries and humand having sex in
GENUS. In single issue comics, like LUCK OF THE DRAW or
ANUBIS: DARK DESIRE, we can get away with it, because they
are one-shots or on an infrequent schedule. GENUS comes out
every other month, and if we had stories like that in there, the
book could easily come under fire in various states and
countries for their obscenity laws.
Despite the fact that the comic is "just cartoons", many non-furry-
savvy people still see interactions between humans and furries
as bestiality. We really don't want to have to deal with any court
cases relating to obscenity charges. It always works out poorly
for the publisher or comic store that gets charged. ^_^; Heck, I
still remember the court cases that tried to declare OMAHA THE
CAT DANCER obscene, citing bestiality as a charge, and there
were no humans in OMAHA at all!
So there's the big reason. It's to protect GENUS from any legal
complications that might arise. Also, support the Comic Book
Legal Defense Fund!
http://www.cbldf.org/ They are the guys and
gals who defend comic creators, publishers and store owners
when people try to censor comic books and prosecute their
creators!
