Physical abilities spring to mind in regard to being able
to run faster, climb or swim better, etc, than our current
human form allows. The ability to fly would be nice too...

That comes down to human values. Anthropomorphising
creatures, as is the meaning of the word, applieds human
characteriestics, that unfortunatley would remove much of
the innocence that animals tend to posses. There are no
penalties in nature, only consequences.

It's people's value and belief systems - they get caught up
with polictics at work, a problem that appears too hard,
etc etc that stops many from stepping back, thinking "so
what?" being able to leave the problem behind when they go
home. Many believe the world owes them something and carry
this with them everywhere, unlike the dog who is happy with
whatever comes his way.

One is pandering to the cute and friendly, the other is
mistaken as trying to crack on to them. How many people of
the opposite sex do you regualarly associate with (ie, JUST
friends) that aren't married to a friend of yours? I don't
count people you only see at work neither. Precisely.
The couple of girls I used to see strictly as friends are
now incidentally dating other friends of mine. I, on the
other hand am out of luck! ;-)

Considered that they represent rebellion and a form of
freedom of expression that we are either afraid to do or
unwilling to express due to possible consequences? The
embodiment of our desires in a form that is somehow 'wrong'
(think of this in ideological sense, that I prefer not to
discuss on this forum), yet appeals so much... Mind you,
being 'wrong' doesn't really deter me, it just means I
consider consequences before proceeding. Since I'm here
now, I'll let you guess my views. :-)
