Okay, so I've been slow to reply. Being busy in RL just
isn't really a valid excuse! ;-P This may answer a few
questions, those may raise a few more!
Phone interview with Skunkworks Trio about Going Goth.
- transcript by Scrapper, Black Dragon (2003).
Jim, Lori, Onyx, Natasha, Val copyright James M Hardiman
Scrapper: Good morning ladies! Thank-you for taking the
time to talk with us today.
Onyx: Yeah, hi Scrapper, but it's not morning. We had to
stay back after hours to use mom's office for the
speakerphone.
Scrapper: Well, morning here, but allowing time differences
it is late afternoon for you.
Lori: Mom said she'd wait for us so we don't have to catch
a bus back, so keep it brief.
Natasha: Lori! We always try to make a little time for
fans, but she is right. No whole life histories or
anything. I thought you said it was only you at that end,
what's the 'us' thing?
Scrapper: Just a figure of speech, though I'll be typing
this up to post to the group, so you're effectively talking
to 'us'. I'll try to keep it brief, don't want to get on
Val's bad side. Okay, don't want to get you girls on Val's
bad side. To the point - a few questions have come up on
the SAMA group recently and I thought a quick call may help
to set the record straight. Someone, Brandon actually, was
wondering if you girls would ever go Goth?
Natasha: Isn't that like, near Rome or somewhere? Since
that's outside the USA, I don't think we'll be going there
any time soon. Jim doesn't mind road trips, but I don't
think he'd drive that far.
Onyx: Hey, isn't Rome near that mall uptown?
Lori: No, that's "The Dome". Rome is in France.
Onyx: Oh yeah, I knew that.
Scrapper: Actually, Rome is in Italy.
Onyx: Yeah, I knew that too...
Scrapper: what Brandon wanted to know is if you've
considered adopting the Goth way of life. The
black clothing, macabre outlooks and interest in death.
Things like that.
Natasha: Well, I don't think so...
Onyx: Death is like, so... so...
Scrapper: Macabre?
Onyx: What's that?
Scrapper: Grim and to do with death.
Onyx: Yeah! That'd be it!
Scrapper: <pause to draw a slow breath>
Lori: About the only death thing I really like is when you
get on the Vid games, and you get the really big gun and
you can shoot heaps of baddies and they just splatter all
over the walls and everything. That just rocks.
Onyx: Eeew gross!
Lori: You didn't say that the other day when we caned that
big boss baddie at the end of level 7 and his head
exploded.
Onyx: Oh, yeah. But that was still like, gross...
Scrapper: Some furs on the group thought that there were a
few enemies you'd like to dissect and bury quietly.
Natasha: We've a few anti-fans, but we prefer to try and
convert them than exterminate them.
Lori: Anti-fans? So they suck instead of blow? There's
just too much sexual innuendo there!
Natasha: Yeah, in a matter of speaking. Fans are like furs
on the SAMA group who love us and want us and all that.
Anti-fans are people who don't want us to the point of
going out of there way to not want us. So yeah, they suck.
We try to get them around to our way of thinking. A
little love, a bit of action and bingo! Convert for life!
Scrapper: You seem to have had a few failures with your
conversions.
Natasha: You get the odd person who needs a few extra
treatments, but seriously, what's not to like? <laughs>
Scrapper: Fair enough! I can't disagree with that! So what
about black makeup?
Onyx: Makeup's a pain to get on and off the fur.
Natasha: Little bit of eye liner in maybe something like
blue for me, to bring out the highlights in my eyes. but
full base plus blusher and all that stuff just doesn't do
anything for us skunks. Besides, I'd need to use a spatula
to get sufficient coverage to black out all the white.
Lori: Or like at the fair that time with the spray paint
<chuckles>
Natasha: Oh yeah! But remember how hard that was to clean
off! You couldn't have made it much more stay fast if
you'd used fur dye!
Lori: But you should have seen the looks on people's faces!
Scrapper: I thought they look at you girls like that
generally?
Onyx: Not all the time. Usually when we're like, doing
something out of the ordinary. Stir up the crowd.
Scrapper: So like I said, like that generally?
Lori: Hey, a skunk can have a little fun can't she?
Scrapper: NO comment! What about black clothes?
Natasha: I've got this really short, tight little dress
that _really_ clings to you! You've got to be careful when
putting it on so you don't get fur bunching, but it looks
SO hot!
Lori: That's hot that dress. Not really me, but it rocks
on you. Can't say I'm a real black fan. I've got enough
of my own, why do I need any more? Bit of loud 'look at
me' colour never hurts.
Scrapper: Having seen many of your pics when you are
attired, I'll agree that a splash of colour looks good.
Makes you attributes stand out.
Lori: So you're saying tight tops and cut off shorts make
our tits and butt stand out?
Scrapper: <chuckles> There _is_ that, but I was referring
to the bright coloured clothing contrasts well with your
black and white natural colouring.
Onyx: We're glad you like our choice of clothes. We put a
fair bit of time into tearing the leggings off jeans to get
that high cut shorts look.
Scrapper: Thinking of clothes, it was asked about what you
girls would do at a nudist beach?
Lori: There's a difference?
Scrapper: Good point. Ladies, have a good evening and on
behalf of the SAMA group, I'd like to thank-you for your
time.
Natasha: Always good to make a little time for the fans.
Scrapper: Thank-you Lori, Onyx, Natasha. Better not keep
Val waiting! Goodnight.
Lori,Natasha,Onyx: <chorus> Goodnight Scrapper.
<End Of Call>
There you have it furs. Promised to get this to you last
week, but the claws have been moving slowly in the typing
department.
