Thanks, man. Health-wise, I'm doing okay, I reckon. The doctor
(or so he's called) had me on 5mg of Acupril per day, used to treat
high blood pressure, since he said all diabetics have high blood
pressure. Well, I stopped taking that shit in June, tested my blood
pressure a few weeks ago, and guess what? Normal blood pressure
levels are 120/80, and mine was 106/81 (taken after resting for 10
minutes, as per the instructions on the testing machine). I took a
reading after coming home from work one day, just standing at the
kitchen bar, and it was 126/82, well within the normal range, and
taken less than 5 minutes after pulling the bike into the driveway.
I think that doctor must've been getting a kickback from the pill-
makers, the sorry bastard.
I'm holding off for my eye surgery until after the holiday season.
After January 1st, I'll have insurance, so I won't have to worry
about paying for the operation (though I'm going to be paying my
existing doctor bills for quite awhile). My work schedule should
ease up a bit in February, so that's when I'm gonna try to get the
surgery done. The busy season at work actually runs through until
May, but I'm certainly not gonna wait that long. Shit, I should've
technically had the operation about a year ago!
As for the conventions, well, keep your ears open, because I'll
announce any changes here!
