  Nope, that wasn't me. I don't watch TV or any sporting events, and
certainly wouldn't write in to a magazine to raise hell on such a
subject. But there are quite a few James Hardiman's out there. One
such interesting event:
  I was renewing my drivers license, and was at the DMV. I was in
the waiting room, killing time until my name was called to go up and
have my picture taken for the license. The receptionist called my
name, and both myself and another, older guy approached the counter.
She repeated the name to us both, and we both nodded. As it turns
out, the man's name was phonetically the same as mine, but his last
name was spelled a little differently. Weird, huh?
  Anyway...
