  Excellent guess, Wyldesyde. During a particular species' "heat
cycle" (closely parallel to that of their four-legged ancestors),
sexual activity may continue as always, though oftentimes it is more
frequent due to the hormones present in the body at that time. The
only important factor is that unless offspring are desired, the
affected species must refrain from mating with another menber of
its' own species (or, in some cases, even with a member of a similar
species). Sexual activity may continue, without repercussions, as
long as a dissimilar species is involved.
